Edwards Viper scheme
Sure just a test scheme, although maybe the USAF might be looking to the USMC.

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
So that's where all the paint went when United changed their scheme.

It looks like it may have been one of Lock-Mart's in-house vipers.

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
It's shiny... maybe they repainted it with the paints used for the F-22?

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
Thats my thought, having seen the "stealth paint" applied to other F-16's, different shade but you can see a sheen to it.james84 wrote:It's shiny... maybe they repainted it with the paints used for the F-22?

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
I posted the image on a modelling forum and here is somebody's comment
"That's one fo the Shadow jets sporting the 5th Gen HG. It was also a jet I crewed in Misawa (89-90) and later on at Edwards.
Radome is the same grimmy gray it was before the HG paint job. I believe there are 3 Edwards Vipers with the 5th Gen HG"
Anybody know what "HG" stands for?

"Have Glass".james84 wrote:Anybody know what "HG" stands for?
It's a special coating that reduces the radar cross-section of the aircraft.

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
Another shot with the OT code this time.
Looks like Gunship grey with Have Glass, what do you think?

Re: Edwards Viper scheme
Hi guys
Has anyone repainted this aircraft yet? If not, I will. If it has been done, it would probably look better than I could do.
The gray's look different so getting it to look like the picture might be hard to do.
I like it.

Thanks
Roger M.
