Looks like it's the time to upgrade to Core2Duo for you all AI fans!

A brillinat successor of Lee Swordy AFCAD2.
As a one guy commented: "I have opened all my modified FSX afcads, apart from the extra gates, shows vehicle paths and start locations and helipads i've modified/added"
It's still Alfa but we'll be there very quick.

I have brought my airport to FSX with ADE / SDE without a problem. Some new FSX specific features like fences are already in the tools, or are added by the coming releases.
ADE development is really moving on now. The latest beta release is 0.42 and it has a great deal of functionality, although there are obviously still bugs and little in the way of documentation.
The programme has the ability to read FS9 AF2*.bgl files which it can then save as an FSX AFX*.bgl.
I'm looking at trying some FS9 airfield sceneries in FSX and converting the AFCADs for use in FSX. I have already succeeded with the Coningsby release, although I still have some work to do converting the taxiways that were created to make roadways into vehicle taxiways. I'm looking forward to the Lakenheath release to do the same with that.
In time I plan to make FSX parking for all the MAIW packages for my own use and engage in discussions about their release with the staff when the time is right.
"We attack tomorrow under cover of daylight! It's the last thing they'll be expecting ... a daylight charge across the minefield .."
Yeah, it's a promising tool alright. I've used it to convert my YSRI AFCAD to FSX and found it needed remodelling. Same for YAMB but it's closer. Eventually I'll re-do the ADF AI package for FSX (including helos) but teh tool is a little slow at present (you can't select and move multiple items yet).
