That is a cracking video; it's a shame that the B-29 does not get as much attention as the Lancaster over here, but then again, I totally doubt that it would ever make it over here for a display so I am not really surprised. They've done a wonderful job to get her back into the air again and looks so graceful.
Just as a point of interest for those who didn't know, some of the the Washington B1's (UK name for the B-29) were based here at Coningsby, which is of course home to Europes only airworthy Lancaster.
Video from when two friends and I decided to jump the gun and go up with Fifi cruising around KDAB: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xlL_I7vQ18
Friend did the recording, I'm the guy who's head is in the way at the end
Probably best experience in my life... so worth the money.
Nice video, Phil. The comment on the YouTube video about putting music over the sound, reminds me of wanting to strangle whoever made the decision to drown out the Lancaster starting up in the 'Bomber Boys' docu BBC aired last year (I think?)
