Stewart AFB getting C-17's

Post by Joseph29 »

If this is old news then I am sorry for posting this.

I saw this photo on airliners.net. Stewart AFB is either replacing the C-130's with C-17's or they will have both C-17's and C-130's.

Just C-17's replaced C-5's for the 105th AW/137th AS, should be already painted I think.

The C-17s will replace the C-5s, the C-130s are actually KC-130Ts and are from VMGR-452, a US Marine Corps Reserve unit also based here.

Stewart is actually an ANGB, not an active AFB. The C-5/C-17s are part of the 105thAW, NY Air National Guard.
