Shannon

Not properly a military airport, but it's visited by some MAIW aircrafts and airlines chartering for the US Dept. of Defense (i.e. Omni Air) and it's the main Irish SAR base.
The only available scenery is payware so I decided to make my own using exclusively default objects and the chart available on the Eurocontrol EAD website. Not 100% perfect but should work fine.
I'll upload this one on Avsim too, feel free to have a look, comment and suggest what to change.

Me too. Funny how, no matter what time of day it is, the Pub was always open when we landed :)

Thanks for the scenery, James.

You're welcome!
There is just one thing I didn't manage to fix: some aircrafts (DJC airbusses and GA aircrafts) taxi out from taxiway A, which is also used by the departing aircrafts to reach the end of the runway. If two aircrafts find themselves facing each other then they remain stuck where they are and the traffic jams until they disappear.
Apart from that, it should be ok!

Yes, the last time I was through there we had a 1 Star on the plane with us. The State Dept recommended against anyone drinking but left it up to the 1 Star Fighter Pilot... Needless to say we were all drinking...

No official guys watching us, but on our return from our 05 OIF deployment, our commander authorized 2 beers at the pub.He realized his mistake since he didn't state the pint size of those 2 beers!!! Of course, many took advantage of the duty free shop. I had several crew chiefs crack open those bottles inflight, and they had a good time. The attractive flight attendants made the trip home better and they were good sports with the drunks (who all eventually passed out).

Going through this last time in December, great to see the remodeling.

Lucky you. If looks could kill I'd have been a pile of ash in the galley... :smt005
