Re: FSX Cockpit Fixes
Done. I still have to make screen shots and package it up. To be released during the coming days.
Cheers,
Martin

Re: FSX Cockpit Fixes
This drives me nuts
The cockpit of the new Typhoon T model (AI Typhoon T1 Long.mdl, date 02.08.2013, 924 KB) seems to point to someplace different on the texture than the original T model (AI Typhoon T1 Long.mdl, date 26.04.2007, size 907 KB). The alpha channel, which worked with both models from the original Coningsby package and also works with the new FGR4 model fails with the new trainer.
See for yourself - ZJ802 from the old and new package:
Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this?
Everything else is fine:
Coningsby FGR4:
Coningsby Tornado:
ITAF Tornado:

Re: FSX Cockpit Fixes
To me the T3-canopy's look transparant even without a pilot in the cockpit, while the FGR4-canopy's are only transparant when there is a pilot on board. Don't know whether this can be of any help.

Dick

Re: FSX Cockpit Fixes
Now that is probably the solution, Dick: the new T3 model no longer needs the fix. Let me check this and thanks for putting me back on track!
Cheers,
Martin

Re: FSX Cockpit Fixes
Dick, this was indeed the cause for the issue. But...
Even with the original textures it would not work for me. But now that I stopped focusing on "what do I do wrong" the rest was easy. The root cause is that the Coningsby 2013 package does not contain the required file REFL_TEXTURE.BMP.
I will release the other fixes this weekend. Thanks again for getting me out of this loop
