Turkish Tankers and Vipers

Post by RKE »

Thanks to the wind knocking out both the TV and internet for a couple of hours, and the police telling everyone to stay indoors, I had a couple of hours to spend. So I came up with some flightplans for the Turkish Vipers and the tankers that support them. Thanks to a brief window of internet, I was even able to find some of the bases they've been spotted at. There's probably already better flightplans for both of the types, but I wasn't exactly in a position to check when I started and I didn't feel like quitting with 2/3 done

4-ship flight and supporting tanker departing Lajes for Bangor, Maine. After a nightstop they'll continue to Nellis and Red Flag.

Two repaints have been assigned to refueling duty and will follow a set route over the Black Sea and the Med.

I am pretty sure the airfield manager would have freaked out over that first shot!! The engines are suppose to stay on the flight line side of the barrier :)

Great shots ... I am working on Anatolian Eagle too ..... love it. Where did you get all the scenery and models? I am missing UAE block 60's and some other NATO add ins, but other than that, my Konya AB is looking good.

I blame the antique FS9 traffic engine that decided to do a pushback  I assume the model was built assuming the a/c would always taxi out nose first, as the cargo door and crew entry hatch stayed open during the pushback :?

Lajes AB scenery is by John Stinstrom, Incirlik AB scenery is by Matt Magner. The Tanker is the MAIW model + supplied repaints, the Viper is by Henry T with repaints by Mike Pearson.
