It looks like the decision has finally been made, the F-35 will be fielded with the Vermont ANG 158thFW sometime around 2020. So Mike your paints are not as much of a fantasy anymore, just 7 years early.

We all knew that the announcement was imminent and hoped that it would be positive, so that motivated me to create those repaints.
Of course the naysayers are now filing lawsuits to try to block the F-35A's from ever being deployed in Burlington for any and all reasons that they can dream up.

I think most of Vermont supports basing the F-35s at KBTV. Unfortunately it is the small vocal fringe that gets the press. This is a great accomplishment for the VTANG and a shot of reality for the residents of Chittenden County.

They could be stationed over at Plattsburg or even better we'll host the 158th @ YJN , easy, fairly quick commute
