Spent quite a while gathering old Navy aircraft for the museum. Had to send some to the paint shop as they had set out in the sun at AAMARC for quite some time.
However, there is one that I have not been able to get to display. A GMAX CH53. It displays and flies in FS9. It shows up and verifies in Martin's AI Aircraft Editor. It shows in FS Repaint. I have checked, double, triple checked the flight plan, the afcad parking space and assignment to no avail. Is it just one that won't show in FSX ? Any ideas ?
Note the empty spot beside the H-60.

I am just trying to figure out why the DHC Caribou from Andrew behaves like you describe it, Joe.
Cheers,
Martin

Just out of interest, is the Constellation an AI model? The aircraft is in my top ten of most beautiful aircraft in the world. It's on my list to make at some time, but I'll steer away from that if one exists.
I would say this one is from the MATS package available at California Classics. The package contains the C-46, C-47, C-54, C-97, C-118, C-124, C-130, C-131, C-133, C-135 and the C-121A/C.

The Connie is from Cal Classics, but it's a civvie one I repainted. All the AC at the Museum are AI. They taxi out in twos or three nightly during the week for a few touch and go's then come back before the museum opens.
Guess I'm gonna have to look for the Caribou and see if it does the same. The two EA-6 have some strange texture properties also that I am investigating.

Chris: The H-60 is AI from an FS9 payware traffic package (Just Flight Traffic I think). The paints were done by Graham King.
The CH/MH-53 is by Rory Kelly for FS2004. The AI Helicopter configuration file that I have for it is by Holger Sandmann and Doug Callihan and the readme says based on Stemme motor glider aircraft.cfg by Al Kaiser.
Martin: I downloaded the GAI Caribou and try as I might I get the same result - does not show up. FWIW I have an Aussie Caribou from the VOZ site years back that works. Also tried a FS9 GMAX Agusta A-109 that works fine in FS9 - same result. By the way I've even tried to use both of those helicopters with Heli Traffic 2009 and they are no-shows in FSX.

Rgr on the H-60, got those in as well. I'll look over all my .cfg's for the RK model, I have/had them at Norfolk, C. Christi, and Quantico in various paint schemes, they all showed at parking spots, never actually followed one flying.
Joe,
The next test I will do is to replace the air file with any other. Just a feeling that the issue could be buried there.
Cheers,
Martin

Hi Guys,
Why not use the free SAMM "Static Aircraft Model Maker" which would not require apron routes and flightplans for the models used. I have used it for stored aircraft at some of my airports and found it works great.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
Steve
Reggie: I used the Convair 580 AI model for FS2002 & FS2004 by Dee Waldron with my own paint.
Steve: I have the SAMM program and remember trying it once when it first came out. Results weren't that great at the time, but I may give it another try. Making the parking and flight plans took some time but I imagine making the statics of each would also be a bit time consuming.
Merry Christmas to all.

Joe,
Love what you've done with populating the museum ramp with aircraft. Can you point me to where you got those aircraft? I've been fairly successful with using SAMM (Static Aircraft Model Maker). I'd like to give it a try and create static models for the museum ramp. Thanks!
