Hard to believe this but I know Chad & his wife He had just lost his brother Reid in the MC-12 crash in April.

The U.S. Air Force has identified the aircrew involved in Monday's crash of a B-1B bomber near Broadus, Montana. The 4-man crew was instructor pilot Maj. Frank Biancardi II, instructor pilot Capt. Curtis Michael, instruction weapons systems officer Capt. Chad Nishizuka and instructor weapons systems officer Capt. Brandon Packard. The Air Force says all four crew members sustained non-life threatening injuries and are receiving treatment or have been released from medical facilities.

Wow, small world for sure.

Interesting that all of them were IP's in their seat positions.

Which can be a bad crew mix, think 2 CFI's together.

Final report on this one, pretty crazy what they went through and after all the speculation, sounds like they did everything right and were lucky to live through it.

Also has links to the official USAF AIB report:

So the moral is always check your fold down baffle before flying - before anything really :D
