Thanks Mike, they just popped up at AVSIM. Now it's just the trouble of finding some decent scenery for Gvardeyskoye (UKFG) for the currently active Fencer-C's (and thanks for pointing out they're still active). There's some photoreal scenery for Simferopol (UKFF) which includes an afcad, but that has a host of issues, and if I fix it, I can't release it :?

Oh well, perhaps there's something to be found in the darker corners of the flightsimming web...

There's a gent named Andrey Anta over on AVSIM.rus who did whole area sceneries for most of European Russia and the old Soviet Central Asia regions over the last five or six years. The sceneries have reasonable generic-object airports all over that part of the world, but there are some odd manual install instructions, so it's complicated to get them up and running. But, if you're patient and good at that sort of thing, these sceneries are well worth your time. Just go to www.avsimrus.com (click on the English translation in the upper right corner if need be) and go find the files by author search.

Alas, the Krym/Crimean scenery pack doesn't have it. I've decided to go with the scenery for Simferopol and I'll just have to re-do the afcad from scratch (and fix the terrain issues). The minor fixes work for now anyway...

I had to break up the planned part 2 into parts 2 and 3, would have been a 70MB file otherwise, and I thought part 1 was a little big at 55MB. I am trying to keep my uploads under 40MB for no special reason, but these are two 33MB files, give or take. This covers the following aircraft and users:

Su-24M (early/late variants), Su-24M2 current mid-life-upgrade variant, Su-24MP EW variant, Su-24MR recon variant. The early Su-24M has the wing fence CM dispensers which were later scrapped. All later Su-24 have the aft fuselage CM dispensers painted in.

Users: USSR/Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan; except for Russia and Ukraine, all other countries have either given the aircraft back to Russia (Azerbaijan), sold them to other countries (Belarus to Sudan), or stored the aircraft (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan). So, this is a combined retro/current use set of packages.

Units: mostly generic serials, but I have some named Russian units, such as 455 BAP at Voronezh-Baltimor (no "e" on the end), or the 968 IIAP at Lipetsk. All non-Russian-use aircraft are researched serials.

These should be available on AVSIM and AVSIM.rus later on Sunday.

Hi Mike,
Very interesting work. I am also fan of Soviet and Russian military aviation. Last year I started project of SU25/39. External model is done on 95%(no UV mapping), VC cockpit on 5%. Work was done in 3DsMax. In case you want I can send files to you to be used in your projects. Just tell me what file format to save them for you.
Here are some pictures:

Nick,

You need to finish this aircraft, I would love to fly it. This forum is for simple AI traffic models only, and what I design can't even start to come close to what you have in-progress.

Thanks guys,
Having the High poly model for me is easy to do low poly one. The problem is that I am total dummy in converting this files. Recently I am trying to help SO at IVAO with MTL model of UH-60. And you can see that I am total novice

Here is something for the contemporary traffic guys..... the most current version of the Tu-142 (Tu-142MZ) Bear-F..... once all of the core parts are done, it's just a mix-and-match of radars and antenna, and such.... A lot of the same stuff on this aircraft is on the Tu-95MS Bear-H (current bomber version).

I currently have 16 Tu-95/142 variants planned. Once the big model is done, it will go quick, very few external loads, and not too many paints (mostly generic for the classic aircraft). I may try to do the individual nose-art (named) current aircraft as there are a lot of good decal sheets available on the net, plus photos. And there were some inherited aircraft from Ukraine for a short period, and the Indian Naval Air Service.

RKE, you can start polishing up your flightplans for the patrol patterns, lol....
