To test some things for the larger Polish Air Force project, I want to see if I'm on the right track by releasing a subset first that represents the Polish Naval Aviation Brigade.
The following items and locations are represented in this beta release:
- EPCE: Siemirowice Naval Air Station
- EPDA: Darlowo Naval Helicopter Station
- EPOK: Babie Doly Naval Air Station/Naval Base Oksywie/Poland Naval Academy
- EPWI: Wicko Morskie Training Area
- EP37: Naval Base Swinoujscie Heliport
The following scenery object libraries are used in this beta release:
- default_terminals_ss.bgl
- dlf_lib_MilitaryHangarsBldgs.bgl
- GGSE.bgl
- MAIW_ABO.bgl
The aircraft and naval vessels in this beta release use the following models (aircraft links courtesy The Owl's Nest):
- M-28/An-28 by Mike Cronin (link; included in the MAIW USAF - Cannon AFB package)
- Mi-2 by SBAI (link)
- Mi-14 by Hannes von der Heide (link)
- Mi-17 and W-3 by Michal Krechowski and Milan Lisner (link)
- Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates by AJ Weber (link)
- Los Angeles-class submarine by Bob Chicilo (link)
There is also a voicepack file for EditVoicePack X that will give you a Polish Navy callsign.
For the aircraft, I've only added textures and aircraft/sim.cfg files. They are meant to be in a standalone SF2020 folder in your SimObjects folder in a similar manner as The Owl's Nest FSX setup for MAIW. This requires an entry in your fsx.cfg file. For information on this, view page 7 of this document, replacing MAIW with SF2020. The folders are a part of the ZIP file, but you'll need to copy the relevant aircraft files over to the SF2020 folder.
You will find some airfields that begin with the number 8. These are helicopter overlays for airfields. For example, 8POK is a helicopter overlay for EPOK that keeps the helicopters from using the main runway. Such overlays are available for Babie Doly (EPOK) in this pack, but some Army and Air Force fields will inevitably also use such a setup.
The big things I'm trying to test is that the helicopter overlay works, the ships are in port and working (set your FSX date and time for a Sunday at 11:00am GMT and you should see two frigates and a submarine in the Gdynia port), and that the Gdynia port is shown (I had to make water polys since FSX does not show the port by default). The flightplans have the Mi-14s and M-28s performing offshore reconnaissance (Mi-14s patrolling 10 miles offshore, and the M-28s head out to the Baltic to recon the economic zone).
I'm also putting together the documentation for this, so if you see anything of note here that I haven't added, let me know.
THERE IS NO README FOR THIS RELEASE. THIS THREAD IS THE README.
You're downloading this file at your own risk. By downloading it, it's assumed that you are familiar with the file/directory structure of FSX and can safely find and edit your FSX.cfg file.
Please do not upload this file anywhere else while it is in beta. It is subject to change. Just send folks over here to download it.
I'd appreciate feedback, bugs, comments, questions, and suggestions here, please. I hope it spices up Poland a bit for you!

Re: The Polish Naval Aviation Brigade Project for FSX
Welcome addition of the floating traffic, as more AI ships have come out for FSX as of late. I'll try to load it up and test it, found out I was missing a few helos listed (never knew about the Mi-14).
Along with the PoAF, this looks like one massive project!

Re: The Polish Naval Aviation Brigade Project for FSX
For those unfamiliar with Poland, here's a reference map showing the Polish Navy bases and waypoints. Disregard the red line, as it is a part of a later update for the ships. Currently the two frigates and the submarine traverse between Gdynia and Swinoujscie every day, with all three at Gdynia on Sundays. That will change in the final version, as one frigate will go to the port at Tromso, Norway, and the submarine will pass through the Suez Canal and make a port call at Mombasa, Kenya.
The Polish Navy headquarters is at Gdynia, as is the home port of the two frigates, five submarines, and the Naval Academy, so I'm focusing a lot of scenery effort towards that direction. Wicko Morskie will be the scene of a fly-in for a Navy exercise on Tuesdays. A disabled ship is located about eight miles north-northeast of Gdynia past the Hel peninsula where the rescue Mi-14s and W-3s will go (I may add some more just so that they go different places. Siemirowice is where many of the M-28s are based, and Darlowo is where the Mi-14s are based.
Points 1PMW-4PMW is where the M-28s will patrol (economic zone), and 5PMW-9PMW is where the Mi-14s will patrol (territorial waters).

And once again, the more I dig, the more I find.
What series making a return in 2014 will be holding an event at Gdynia? I seem to have seen something like this in FSX...
