If you could close five major bases, which would they be, and where would their missions and aircraft move?
The big ones I see hurled around from armchair generals such as myself:
- MCAS Miramar, CA. Ops would move primarily to NAS Lemoore and the airfield would be used as a replacement for KSAN.
- Dover AFB, DE. Ops would move primarily to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. The current vice president may have something to say about that, though.
- NAS Oceana, VA. Ops would move primarily to MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
- Beale AFB, CA. Ops would move primarily to Grand Forks AFB, ND. Or...
- Grand Forks AFB, ND. Ops would move primarily to Beale AFB, CA.
What say you?
Would make for some interesting FS9/FSX scenery updates.
