Military AI Helicopters E-101
As I can't find an AI Augustawestland E-101, I have been attempting to convert a flyable one to AI and AI Flight Planner to create a flight, but it will not show up. I have an AH64D_Longbow_00220 that works just fine. Any assistance? John

There is not a true AI built AW/EH-101 out. If you are using the stock FSX flyable version, you will need the files to change it to AI, basically the motor glider airfile and aircraft.cfg entries. I've flown a few user made FSX missions with them flying around, not too bad on framerates.

Victory, thanks for the reply, but OK, what exactly to do with the existing airfile and aircraft.cfg? I have tried substituting existing AI Helo info into the stock EH-101 with no results. I have studied both files of existing AI helos, but can't see what entries need changing in the flyable ones. Someone suggested to use HeliTraffic and it somehow manages to use any flyable helo installed as AI, but you can't set up a scheduled departure or arrival in AI Flight Planner with it. It leads me to believe that it can be done, I just have no clue how, or what to change in the existing airfile or aircraft.cfg. to accomplish it. You have apparently had some success. Anybody with assistance would be appreciated. John

Re: Military AI Helicopters E-101
HeliTraffic is for FS9 only, so it's not going to help you in this case. I use the same "stemme_as_helicopter_2".air file I used in FS9 for my flyable helo models (stock B206, Hovercontrol UH-60) to be used as AI in FSX. The only aircraft cfg changes I have made are using the older stemme as motorglider entries, I basically just copy the fltsim.x section in and change the airfile. They work pretty good, just don't watch them take-off or land, unless you built a separate "helo only" runway.

Victory my man: HeliTraffic might say 2009, but it has been upgraded for FSX also. And thanks for the info in your reply. I will check out your suggestions. I don't need to watch them takeoff or land around midnight on Sundays, I just need them to be in their parking spots during daylight hours the rest of the time, like static models. Thanks again. John
