Greece AFCADs FSX Updates And AVSIM Upload

Post by Christopher Barbas »

Hi all

I have already reworked the LGKL AFCAD from the "Hellenic Air Force Trainers Kalamata AB V2" and make it compatible with FSX.
My next move is to move the AFCAD to the appropriate FSX position, the third move will be to re-position the airport objects to their correct position with Instant Scenery 2.

I am also willing to update the AFCAD from the other Greece packages also, like "Hellenic Air Force A-7 Araxos AB" and "Hellenic Air Force Phantoms".

My question to MAIW is, can I upload the AFCADs to the AVSIM library, will be a problem for you guys.

Thanks for support

Christopher

I have no objections to my afcads being used provided due credit is given, please also check the objects authors if you are including them in your uploads.

Hi Gary

No, there will be only AFCAD uploads, credits for the original will given of course and the appropriate bgl files which containing the "objects placing" info's, no library objects etc!

Probably the first upload will be available after summer, I am working on a new version off LGSA for FSX now and I am foul time there!

Thanks

Looking forward to any FSX updates to the HAF airbases. After the F-16's went in my set up, re-downloaded the A-7 and F-4 MAIW packages. Of course couldn't stop there, had to find the M2000's and everything else(thanks to Martin's site: C-130/B200). Found a basic AFCAD pack for the HAF bases, but used GE and ADEX to make them work with some traffic. I'm also using Jeppesen charts and cannot figure out LGSY, is it parallel runways or not? Same with LGMG, pics show parallel runways, charts show one???

Trying to also get Hellenic Army stuff going with NBAI AH-64A/D's and CH-47's. I plan to use the older K.Furuya AI UH-1.

Hi Chris

Can you post more details about the M2000.
About LGSY, I think both RWYS are in use but not official, the west one only from MIL. Again not sure 100%!

Thanks

PS: Reagarding my previous post and the mention off LGSA, I was talking about LGSA Photoreal scenery for FSX which is on the way, still much to do!

Gary I have update the HAF C130H paints recently, you can use them if you like. I was about to upload them at AVSIM library sometime next,

Which model are you using the for CL-215? Found out by chance that I have some HAF CL-415 flying around on a proper AI model. No idea when I installed that one

Hi Gary, hoping LGEL is in FS9  the one I use at present is a bit flaky with visiting traffic :-?

Hi RKE, If it's the same as mine they are from the "HELLENIC ARMED FORCES AI PACKAGE
UPDATE 2" downloaded many moons ago from Avsim or Flightsim, author being Kostis Prassas, still using it and giving on old fart many hours of pleasure around the beautiful country/islands of Greece :D

Best Regards

They are a CL415 by Marc Siegel

Christopher
I have paints by Ray Parker at the moment so it would be confusing to mix up
They should be easy to change out later

Christopher,

On the M2K, using the FMAI models listed on Martin's (Owl's Nest) site. 2 sets of testures only for the single and family versions. All FP's I got are from the HAF. zip original pre-MAIW package from 2005, with various updates to models, to include the use of the then "new" HTAI C-130!

Was about to request updated Herc paints, all the H models are sporting the SEA 3-tone, the "B" 303 is Euro 1, I'm guessing HAF has repainted them to an overall gray?

For the rotary-wing, used the included AS365 paint to put on the JFAI payware Daulphin (I still have very limited repaint skills). Using the Hovercontrol S-70 at LGKN.

Slowly making my way around the islands to see what AFD's are working with FSX and which are not. Not sure LGSR can be fixed with it's on the shoreline elevation change.

Hi Chris

-About M2K,
I am also used those ones.

-About Herc paints
I am not sure about the exact tones but all the paints I posted are actual, I mean not all aircraft's are painted grey so far. I am seeing some off them flying over my house which at LGTS RWY16 long final but from photos over the net also.

-About AS365 and S-70
The same as you If I remember correct.

-About LGSR
I am using the AEROSOFT LGSR, I have made my changes at parking spots, add MIL parking spots at first because there was not available and it works fine as i observed.

Could not see the repaints from my work computer, but those look great and the same as the google images I researched. Again thanks for the keep the package going, great to see 2 of my fav models in the sim still (A-7 and F-4) as I try to run a modern MAIW set up, vice a few F-14's flying around. I wonder whatever happen to the developer working the updated Blk 50/52 Vipers with CFT's?

I need to get back to Greece, had a great time there back in my USN days!

One thing we have learned over the years is that quite a few people start quite a few projects, very few of them do we actually see.

This is why we never discuss things until they are ready. It is far less disappointing for people.
