I really can't help here. It looks like your card is unable to cope with the graphics. Is it a built in chipset or brand card?

Ah that might be it then.
I remember that when Nick Black bought a new laptop to replace his desktop the built-in chipset couldn't cope fully with the FS9 graphics. I would suggest getting a cheap or good second-hand nvidia, or borrow one, to try that out.

Fair enough. I am only passing on somebody else's experience with a built-in chipset.

Earlier you said that you had a chipset rather than a card, can you clarify which you have?
Also you mention a temp fix but don't say what it is.

The reason I query this we have never heard of this problem before and therefore we can't give a fix, we have to try and work it out.

No problem.

Now to me that does sound like a driver/chipset issue. The fact that something keeps dropping. Most of us have had graphics issues at one time or another, the most common was the dreaded jaggies (which could only be fixed with enhancement software). Quite often these have been sorted out by newer drivers or enhancement software.
However, most of us have graphics cards installed and issues have been overcome due to the shear number of people that use cards and therefore more people come in contact with the problem and the solution.

It sounds like the chipset can cope with the game itself, as it should, but it lacks certain settings that can enhance the appearance of the game. I will assume that you have got the latest version of the chipset driver. Now it could be that something was introduced that affects FS9. It may be worth trying an older version of the drivers, especially the one that worked with your old pc. I say this knowing that almost nobody keeps track of old versions. I don't know if there is any enhancement software for the chipset, like there is for nvidia cards.

The fact that nobody has been able to provide any help tends to suggest that nobody has come across your problem. So you may have to search wider afield.

Other than this the only other thing to try is the maybe unpalatable suggestion I made earlier.
