Real weather

Post by bismarck »

Hello, it is more or less a couple of weeks that I notice a problem. When I load real meteo condition, I always have the same weather.
For example, at LIRF I have wind 292, 09 Mag.
Any suggestion?

Evening Giorgio Sir, I now have adopted your LIBV, as my home field, surrounded by a multitude of Typhoons- I came here this evening to ask you the self same question regarding thunder storms in Italy, My real time downloads have been in A constant haze over the field, lightning and thunder storms- been this way for around 6 weeks now ? Come out of S.Italy and its back to normal high pressures and relevant updated wx- Dont have wx other than jepson installed, maybe jepson downloads are not being as of now- but still in the period of heavy rain and stuff that Italy was experiencing a few weeks back ?...
While i am here, could you kindly tell me if its possible to tone down the grass colour on the field of libv ? at this time its almost bordering on yellow- great field, bags of park areas and shelters.

Gorgio, If and when you ever get any time, how about a small Saudie airfield OMAM - AL DHAFRA- Just doesn,t seem available for FS as yet.
OMAM is 65nm west of the Aussie base Minhad ab-OMDM- Your Italian airforce use c130 and other stuff there, as i see on their website. Many thanks for your great work. Ken.

I think the real weather feature in FS9 has been discontinued guys.

You will need to download (or buy) an external weather program.

Ken, weather was sunny all over the Italy in the last days, may be both FS and your jepson download wrong data.
About grass, the excluding polygon created with Sbuilder uses default texture. This was the first time i used Sbuilder and I don't have the original file anymore. Sorry, but I don't want to re-do it.
OMAM is not in the pipiline, BTW there is a basic scenery of it in the French Mirage 2000 Part 1 package.

Here is a freeware one that I use. It is for FSX and FS9. http://www.fsrealwx.net/index.php/downloads

Recent change over to FSRealWx Lite, the freeware version and have had good results with wx generation even in the Mid-east. Thread on SOH about this, another freeware was FSXWX, have not tried this one yet.
