If the various rumours are true, over the last 5 years, they may just take the opportunity to scrap the team altogether. Saves even more money and jobs.

I think that they would be daft to give them the chop not only from an aviation point of view but also because I would say they are Britains biggest ambassadors, certainly do a better job than most mp's

But the cost of having to buy new hawks could be quite high unless they purchased dumbed down versions on the T2 i.e no radar systems etc...

Wow really, that's interesting I would of thought BA were leagues above the Reds. The passengers of BA149 in 1990 may not agree with me though.

Sorry for the hijack.

208(R) Sqn 100th anniversary jet / RAF Valley, To commemorate the centenary of the start of World War One, the squadron designed a paint scheme for Hawk T1. XX350, The aircraft was given her new colours by the Valley-based Babcock spray bay team, and the design splits the aircraft into old and new, with the current black training scheme for the front, and the green WW1 scheme to the rear. The design was based on the colour scheme used on the Bristol F2B Fighter which is housed at the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden Aerodrome in Bedfordshire. This aircraft - which is still airworthy - saw active service with 208 Squadron in 1922 during the Chanak Crisis in Turkey.

As most of you guys who have painted Nicks Hawk will know that certain parts are all mapped to the same area hence if i paint the fins green the other parts will also go green! so the fins will have to stay black! :)

Much thanks
