I am updating some of my military AI and I am wondering how should I handle units that moved to another base? For instance French Mirage 2000 Part 1 01.002 moved from LFSD to LFSX and French Mirage 2000 Part 5 moved from LFSX to LFMI.
If I just replace LFSD with LSFX and replace LFSX with LFMI wouldn't that mess up the flight times in the plans? Is there a program that could automatically adjust the flight times? Cause I have no idea what the new flight times would be.
a question about flightplans
Re: a question about flightplans
First I would backup the flightplan file.
Then I would load up the plan into AIFP.
You can either control each arrival time individually or you can use the global adjust feature, Adjust ETAs to Reflect A?C Cruise Speeds, (found under the Flight Plans menu) and then adjust individual ones to your taste.
I really think that everybody that compiles flightplans should use AIFP. It has so many features and checks that once you use it I don't believe that anybody would use anything else.

Re: a question about flightplans
Thanks I will give it a try. I will have to play around with it to see if I can get it right.
And I do use AIFP (and I still use Ttools also) but I just use AIFP to compile flightplans. I don't really use the other features.

Re: a question about flightplans
That is the beauty of AIFP. You can use it as a simple ttools replacement, with built-in error checking, or use all or any of it's other useful features.

Re: a question about flightplans
Ok I was playing around with the French Mirage 2000 Part 5 flightplans and replaced LFSX with LFMI but I ran into a problem. Now there are a bunch of flights going from LSMI to LFMI (the original had flights going from LFSX to LFMI). I don't know where to send those flights. I think I might just leave the original plans in because I really don't know what I am doing when it comes to adjusting flightplans.
Re: a question about flightplans
Why not reverse the flight and send them to lfsx?
