I'm going to upload these in bits as there's loads of pics to sort through still. This set is from Wednesday's arrivals, as you could see the weather was pretty pants & the light was awful. It was also pretty quiet by RIAT's standards, there was some good quality though. On with the photos
Pt2. The weather was again pants for most of the day with low cloud making it challenging for both pilots & photographers all round. It got better as the day went on with the sun coming out very briefly at times. In terms of aircraft movements it was one of the busiet days I've experienced at RIAT with aircraft arriving pretty much non stop for about 5 hrs or so.
Thanks for the compliments guys, much appreciated. Here's Pt 3, Fridays half show + a few arrivals. Much better weather wise today with the sun making regular appearances, it was the wind that spoiled it a bit really. Although to be fair the only thing that didn't fly was the BF-109G-4, it was a kts over their required limits.
There was no Rafale unfortunately Frank, had to make do with Ramex Delta instaed This set is from Sunday's main show & this time the sun actually came out & stayed out for the majority of the day. It did cause another problem however especially with the fast jets, heat haze. Hence the reason there isn't that many pics of them.
Final set from this wonderful show this time covering the departures. The weather resorted back to standard overcast conditions but at least it was dry. There was at least one moment I won't forget in a hurry, towards the end involving 2 iconic helis (you'll have too look through them to find out what I'm talking about) I certainly haven't seen these sharing the same piece of sky before. Enjoy
