B-52s not showing up

Post by pilotguy251 »

Hello, I have most if not all of the MAIW packages installed into my sim. I downloaded the Barksdale AFB package when it first came out, and B-52s were showing most of the time. I acquired the Minot AFB Package when it came out a few months ago as well, and that is when I began to run into trouble. No B-52s show up anymore. I have checked to make sure the packages were installed correctly and that the aircraft are in the proper folder, and each one of those is an all clear. But I have not seen a B-52 in FSX since July, when the Minot package came out. Are these two packages conflicting somehow? I find it strange since I have loaded up at both bases, on many different days, and I would think that there would be at least one B-52 sitting at one if not both of them. What is happening here? Thank you.

Check and make sure your traffic slider hasn't "moved left". I don't know off the top of my head what % of traffic you need to have minimally to have the B-52 package aircraft show up.

Did you convert the FS9 traffic files in the Minot AFB Package to the FSX format? If you forgot to do that, then that is probably causing your problems at both Barksdale and Minot.

I'll have to experiment with that one and look back at the readme. I have them both set at 40%

    Hello

    I have a similar problem.

But I asume that the problem is caused by the flightplan

    I use FS9.

    Example

When I want to check the B-52H at Travis Airport KSUU I don`t see any B-52H at the time in the FP

    AC#2,60-0005,1%,WEEK,IFR,1/19:59:21,1/22:36:22,300,F,0011,KSUU,2/00:28:50,2/03:05:51,320,F,0011,KMIB,2/14:24:19,TNG2/14:50:09,080,F,0011,2MIB,2/14:53:51,2/15:18:56,080,F,0011,KMIB,2/18:59:56,TNG2/19:23:19,080,F,0011,1MIB,2/19:25:47,2/19:49:37,080,F,0011,KMIB,4/17:58:57,TNG4/18:23:33,080,F,0011,1MIB,4/18:26:01,4/18:49:51,080,F,0011,KMIB,4/22:49:20,TNG4/23:18:52,180,F,0011,3MIB,4/23:22:34,4/23:52:31,180,F,0011,KMIB,5/23:22:12,6/00:12:13,320,F,0011,KRCA,6/16:19:48,6/17:09:49,280,F,0011,KMIB

    AC#3,60-0023,1%,WEEK,IFR,1/19:59:21,1/22:36:22,301,F,0012,KSUU,2/00:28:50,2/03:05:51,321,F,0012,KMIB,2/14:24:19,TNG2/14:50:09,081,F,0012,2MIB,2/14:53:51,2/15:18:56,081,F,0012,KMIB,2/18:59:56,TNG2/19:23:19,081,F,0012,1MIB,2/19:25:47,2/19:49:37,081,F,0012,KMIB,4/17:58:57,TNG4/18:23:33,081,F,0012,1MIB,4/18:26:01,4/18:49:51,081,F,0012,KMIB,4/22:49:20,TNG4/23:18:52,181,F,0012,3MIB,4/23:22:34,4/23:52:31,181,F,0012,KMIB,5/23:22:12,6/00:12:13,321,F,0012,KRCA,6/16:19:48,6/17:09:49,281,F,0012,KMIB

When I start the sim at Tuesday 00:28 I don`t see any B-52H.

But I noticed that on the AI timetable there is written Wed 16:28 GMT-8

Now if I set in the FS9 monday 00:28 the B-52H are visible!

At the AI timetable you can read Tue 16:28 GMT-8

    That`s strange.

With the C-5s I don`t have this problem.

I noticed this problem with another AI trafic of Air Busan in south Korea.

Is the reaseon because of the pacific area?

I noticed a few times that in south Korea, Macau there are similar problems. Or are the flightplans bugged?

    Here is a screenshot

In the sim it is monday selected 00:28 GMT 16:28 local

All flightplan times are GMT as far as I'm aware.

Just an update on mine, ended up getting them working, guess my traffic volume wasn't high enough after all, or I just didn't go to the right airports.

    Hello again,

I have installed all B-52H of Barksdale and Minot. Total 75 aircraft.

Concerning not shpwing up aircrafts I noticed that the flightplan is buggy of Barksdale.

    If you look at

    AC#26,61-0011,1%,WEEK,IFR,2/09:40:05,2/16:55:44,306,F,0038,KBAD,2/19:06:06,TNG2/19:41:47,053,F,0038,KBAD,2/19:47:56,2/20:02:56,289,F,0038,KBAD,3/10:15:25,TNG3/10:51:06,053,F,0038,KBAD,3/10:58:29,3/14:20:13,423,F,0038,KSUU,3/16:56:33,3/20:18:17,428,F,0038,KBAD,4/16:13:08,4/18:49:28,370,F,0038,KRME,5/17:22:55,5/22:23:56,428,F,0038,LPLA,5/09:30:25,5/12:37:44,273,F,0038,EGVA,1/13:52:41,1/17:00:00,425,F,0038,LPLA

Fridays the B-52H is shown in LPLA at 09:30 GMT.

I changed it to saturdays and it works now.

But I am afraid that this is not the only buggy line.

I have merged the Minot and Barksdale packages to one big package wwhich I have called

    Wi14_U S AIR FORCE_Boeing B-52H Stratofortress

    Same I did with C-5s and C-17s.

Otherwise I would get a huge list of different USAF packages.

However it tokk me many users to finish this job.

Is there a tool that checks the flightplan of unlogical entries like double entries of a day

Here is my two cents worth on AI traffic: It the time between landing and takeoff is less then 1 hour FS9 will not load that flight plan.,
So check your flight plans, I always allow about 90 minutes or so. Also check the altitude, I don't think AI planes like to fly too low.

To check plans use AIFP, or maybe I should say I use it to check MAIW packages to ensure that there are no flightplan issues.
