It's still better than using the Ito version!Weescotty wrote:You'll have problems and unwanted characteristics due to the custom XML code used to do the various animations.Tweek wrote:What a fantastic model!
You know I'll be using this for a flyable!
For example -
If you have full flaps and the front wheel turning youll get all the animations for the braking happeneing (as in pic above).
I've been tinkering again
Well you guys won't have to wait for long to have a "flyable" version. AlphaSim is just about ready to release this one. Yes it's payware, but that's a whole other debate.

Its worked really well for me. Means I can make a batch of Weapons models that can be used in any project and I dont have to keep redoing textures on each models paintkit, I can just add the additional 256kb texture. I also totally ran out of space for the Strike Eagle and when you see the loadout options you'll see why. Ive virtually filled a 512x512 texture with weapons and pylons.
Its worked out cos I have been able to use the Paveway, with those textures for the F-14D, with no hassle at all, no remapping of textures required.

Thanks for the FDE Mike, she looks sweet.
Fancy a crack at one for the T-6 II?
Kev,
I'm glad that you like the AI FDE for the Gripen. She's a hot little bird, isn't she?
Send along the AI T-6 II model when you're ready and I'll give it a go. AI FDE's for prop jobs can be a challenge, but since the T-6 II is not a tail dragger it shouldn't be too difficult.

Dev update -
Well LOD's are progressing slowly due to the unusual shape, especially on the lower side.
Shows how important LODs are -
One of the testers is trying it out on an old machine.
Single LOD = unusable
Few LODs = got 7fps with about 12 on the ramp
Current version - gets 15 fps with 21 on the ramp.
[edit] Just heard back - latest model sent out earlier (still a few LODs to do) 25fps with 21 on the ramp.
This is without any LOD's on the weapons, will be doing them seperately.
So it only gets better.
And yes I know SAAF 01 should be on a two seat model.
