Id this aircraft please.

Post by col1948 »

I had the idea of doing a fictional repaint if I can find the model of this aircaft, trouble is I don't know what aircraft it is, sorry for the pic but it's all I have, I took a screen shot from a TV program I want to do the fictional paint for.

What TV show is it from?

It's definitely a 737 of some type, but may have had some CGI changes like the C-17 from Agents of Shield.

It's from the new series of Criminal minds, the 'International Response Team' IRT, they go to various countries investigating, it's a bit far fetched but they only ever show the inside of the aircraft.
It holds their vehicles and has a high tec office as well, in the series it only ever shows them inside or by the rear cargo door, I think it is just studio scenery but they show the mini clip of an aircraft that I posted so may be it isn't what thwey are using as it is a small pic and it only lasts for seconds.

I think you all might be right, definately a Boeing 737 but the large tail gate got me puzzled.

Yeah, that's a CGI job. The engines are a dead giveaway as far as labelling it a B737, but that of course doesn't come with a rear cargo ramp - and it would have to be scaled up least 2x for the second screenshot to fit.

It's the mythical wide body 737 fitted with C-5 landing gear so it can squat while loading cargo through it's C-17 cargo door.

Spent a while looking around to see if anything was similar! i couldnt find anything with the rear cargo doors like that on a Boeing, it may be a real 737 converted just for the show! but that would cost thousands just to do that, but then again thats Hollywood for you!

It's 100%. It has parts from both a Classing and a NG 737 and is missing some real important parts that would make a 737 hard to fly... Elevator trim tracks, I'm looking at you. Even the shot inside the hangar is CGI.
