Gents,
If there are any of you out there that would like a painting task then I have a couple. The first one is quite large but reletively simple.
Since our MAIW Canadian Hornets package there have been a couple of changes which I think mean that an overhaul is needed.
Firstly in that package there were 100 birds and now there are 73 in service, I believe.
Secondly, there are 2 additional squadrons now. 401 at Cold Lake and 433 has been devolved from 425 at Bagotville.
So it seems that if somebody is able to find out the allocation of serials we can find a painter then I can, or somebody else if they wish to, cut down the original flightplans to fit the new situation and we have an update.
Any takers for any part of this?

Hi Steve,
Seems like lots of conflicting info.
Scramble shows 92 active
Wikipedia shows 73 active
ondutchwings shows 56 active
In the past I found an e-mail to the PR officer at the RCAF squadron can help with info, worth a shot anyway.
Regards,
Steve
P.S. Happy to help once the Algerian AF Mecheria AB is finished.

Re: Canadian repaints
Some more info that I found that in 2008 there were 103 a/c were on inventory with 79 in operational use.
Also found that only 80 a/c went through the two upgrade programs that they had (62A+18B). To me it is inconceivable that they would operate, for maintenance reasons, the two standards. It would seem to me that up to 10% would be in maintenance at any one time so my guess would be that the 73 would be the more accurate number.
I found a further reference to 77 a/c being on strength.
