Just installed scenery for RAAF Amberley went to the Airport Menu in FS9 and it wasn't showing even though it's active in scenery.cfg.
Any ideas guys BTW there are no duplicate AFCADs
TIA

Are you talking about our old Exotic Alberts package or some other scenery?

Re: Weird AFCAD problem
Is that the Mark Griggs and Lawrence Nichols Amberley 2009 one?
I backed up my installation and downloaded and installed it again. I loaded up FS9 and searched for YAMB and found it no problem. The afcad file being 'AF2_LOZ_YAMB.bgl'. Is that what you see when you load afcad or AFX or ADE to check the airfield?

Re: Weird AFCAD problem
I had a similar problem when searching for AFCAD files in Afcad 221.
What I learned was that AFCAD will only search upto just over the first 1000 Layers as indicated in the Scenery.cfg !
For example this entry:
[Area.404]
Title=Gdansk
Local=..\Scenery\Europe\Gdansk
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=404
shows the afcad contained within with no problem whereas this entry:
[Area.1296]
Title=EGAE Londonderry
Local=..\Scenery\UK\EGAE
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=1296
will not appear in AFCAD.
This limitation does not seem to be present in AFX, so that is what I use to search for AFD files that are within individual
scenery folders. Most of my AFCAD/AFX/ADE files are kept in their own folder with other folders for Waypoints/Library objects/mesh etc:
[Area.044]
Title=Excludes
Local=..\Scenery\General\Excludes
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=44
[Area.045]
Title=Waypoints
Local=..\Scenery\General\Waypoints
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=45
[Area.046]
Title=Static Objects Library
Local=Addon Scenery\Static Objects Library
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=46
[Area.047]
Title=MAIW Scenery Library Objects
Local=..\Scenery\General\MAIW Scenery Library Objects
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=47
[Area.048]
Title=AFCAD
Local=..\Scenery\General\AFCAD
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=48
Exclude=N42 56,W78 43.52,N42 56.27,W78 43.08,objects
[Area.049]
Title=MAIW World Airbases Scenery
Local=..\Scenery\General\MAIW World Airbases Scenery
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=49
I also use a great little prog "scnaln.zip" which helps keep everything in my Scenery.cfg tidy

That's the one, reinstalled VOZ 1.18 complete, then reinstalled Amberley 2009 but still no entry under Australia this is most confusing. Checked it in AFX and that is the correct BGL.
scenery.cfg is this
[area.482]
Title=RAAF Amberley YAMB
Layer=482
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Local=Addon Scenery\Amberley Airport 2009
Stranger still is that I have replaced the afcad with one from the Exotic Albert package and Amberley still doesn't show up!!

Re: Weird AFCAD problem
I was going to say try disabling VOZ and seeing if it shows up but I am sure that I ran the 2 together.
Do any other Aussie airfields show up? Did you install the default Oceana scenery? Maybe this is the reason it doesn't show up.
As far as I know the only reasons that it won't show, if active is because either the airport ID is not filled in on the afcad or you haven't installed the region default scenery.
In fact after double checking there is a default YAMB afcad but you are seeing nothing so this says to me that the region has not been installed.

Re: Weird AFCAD problem
Guys I've resolved it by editing the scenery.cfg by hand and now (so far) all is well in the Land Down Under. Must have been a corrupted .cfg file. Thanks for all the help.
