asking the impossible I think.

Post by VulcanDriver »

I want to have an AI a/c appear at an airport on a certain day e.g Thursday and flying during Friday then not appear until following week. I don't want it flying in between times as it will, in real life be transported by a cargo aircraft

I thought that the was period of time in which the aircraft had to fly or it would not appear on the pan. I can't remember what the period is but that is why people used to make statics fly at midnight for a circuit to ensure that they always appeared.

My advice would be to create a weekly plan but have it fly on only one day. Then load up the sim each day to see if it appears all the time or not.

I do not think this is impossible at all.
This will work by using virtual wapoints. There is a thread about this somewhere in the forum.

For my Kliniska highway strip scenery I created flightplans using a virtual waypoint.
I wanted to have aircraft on the highway strip only during daytime. In addtion I did not want these aircraft to appear anywhere else to avoid duplictate traffic.
So the aircraft will arrive on the highway strip coming from the virtual waypoint in the morning, then fly a few circuits during the day and fly back to the virtual waypoint in the evening.
Coming from the virtual waypoint they will simply pop up in the flight sim world and when they arrive at the virtual waypoint they will simply disappear because there is no AFCAD/runway.

Let's me get this straight a virtual waypoint is one that exists in airports file as lon/lat but not as an afcad. Am I correct?
