Looking for HAIG K-8W model

Post by Deltoid1 »

Hi. I am very new in this forum. I have FS2004 and I have been trying to add s small squadron of the Chinese made HAIG K-8W AI models. I have gone through every page of AI package and models and I cannot find anything about this aircraft. My purpose is to make a small squadron of these aircraft show up as static aircraft at an air force base in Bolivia at El Trompillo Airport (SLET) I am enclosing a picture of the aircraft in question. I realize that it may not be available, however, based in your experts in this forum, perhaps another type of aircraft that anyone maybe able to suggest. I will be able to repaint it in the colors of the Bolivian Air Force (FAB) of this model. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I am enclosing a picture of the aircraft. Many thanks :D

No AI model exist... K-8 is very similar to IAR-99 from roumania), but no AI model no more.

In fact, no AI models of Chineese aircrafts.... If some modelers can the chineese fs2004 skies, it'll be great.

There is a UI version.

Search for "Karakorum" on flightsim.com.

Does no work great as AI but there it is.

You could also look at The hawk T1.

The MB-339 minus tip tanks would be quite close if you were a distance away.

It looks a lot like an L-39. You might try a test paint on the MGAI L-39 Albatross model to see how it looks.

Wow! You guys are amazing! Thanks for all of your responses. I will start looking at all of the options, do a repaint for al of your suggestions and pick out the one that looks the closest. After all, they will just be used as static aircraft. Any other suggestions are always welcome. Thanks again!:)

John, You have the correct answer to my inquiry. The Karakorum is the K-8 I've been looking for. I installed the base from Flightsim and I will repaint it. I will remove the sound, panel and gauges and hopefully it will become and AI model with high detail. I will post a picture when I finish it. Thanks for your suggestion. :)

On flightsim, there is an update to correct the altitude of acft, to heve wheels on the ground, not under. You'll find it searching the samed word that JohnTen say.
