Hi, I have just found a wierd problem with both packages of Swiss/Austrian PC6 on my sim' they have changed into textureless Chance Vought F4U Corsairs and using the call-signs of Pilatus PC6. I deleted both packages and reinstalled Ray Parkers packages once again but still come up with the same problem but this time with an extra glitch- it removed the PC7s at Zeltwig. Finally I deleted completely both PC6 packages and reinstalled the Zeltwig , I am not trying to imply that there might be a virus on both Ray's packages but that is all I can think of - I would like add that I have never downloaded or installed a F4U Corsair . Anyone come across this kind of problem.

Did you use a program to install the aircraft and paints?

The paints are Ray's but the model is from EDAviation. I installed the packages in 2012 but when I viewed the model in ACM it appeared as a Corsair. I emailed Ray who sent me his copy but that also appeared as a Corsair in ACM. So I deleted them without ever reviewing them in the sim (FS9).
Your post prompted me to take a look in ModelConverterX which I didn't have at the time and it appears as a PC6. How wierd?
The model.cfg points at pc6.mdl but the model folder also contains pc6.m00 and pc6f.mdl. Viewing pc6.m00 in MCX just errors but viewing pc6f.mdl appears as as a Corsair. So I deleted them from the folder to leave just pc6.mdl and now in ACM it no longer appears as Corsair but as a PC6. I know nothing about model naming but that is just strange.
I don't have time to check it in FS9 but it could be worth deleting these other 2 files to see what happens.

Hi, just like to say thanks for the advice regarding the mdl and you were right it was the wrong one so all is now up and running with I might add without "phantom corsair F4Us flying about". The error with the mdl could well have been my fault due to the fact that a short while ago for some unknown reason I lost mdls on a number of aircraft and had to retype them again. Once again much appreciated.

I for one am now actively trying to figure out a plot to secretly hide files in a project that will cause phantom WWII fighters to appear....
