Gents,
Does anybody have an up to date allocation of the AMI's P.180s so that I can accurately disperse them.
Now according to reports they have 17. John's package has 3 going to the RSV, which I can believe and 14 going to 71 Gruppo.
According to Scramble few units have them.
71 Gruppo are the new G550 ECM sqn and also have P.180s
The CAE has both KC-767 and P.180s and seems to be the OCU for 14 Stormo
The CAEMC purely has P.180s and appears to be the multi-engined training sqn.
The RSV is the test unit.
At Roma/Ciampino
93 Gruppo has at least 1 allocated for VIP duties.
So to me it would seem that most would be allocated to 204 Gruppo under the CAEMC. So does anybody know the current dispersal? It goes w/o saying that if you have the actual serials allocated that would be wonderful but I can work with just the numbers.
Thanks.
AMI P.180s

Re: AMI P.180s
Steve, I've checked again on ondutchwings.nl but the data are the same I used for the FP released with the Avanti.
All the aircraft are based at Pratica, excluding the Coast Guard aircraft at Catania Fontanarossa. The Fire Dept. and the Forest Ranger have respectively 2 and 1 aircraft based in Roma Ciampino.
Can't find other info.
Giorgio

Re: AMI P.180s
Thanks for checking Giorgio.
It could very be that the 2 at Rome have moved, makes sense logistically. Lets see if anybody else has Gruppo allocation numbers.

Re: AMI P.180s
I think, a p180 is on loan to 31st Wing at Ciampino, the others are based at Pratica di mare AB, just consider that 14st wing/71st sq and CAE/CAEMC use the same ramp at Pratica di mare AB
Re: AMI P.180s
Thanks.
So it seems that maybe they are pooled rather than allocated. It makes sense, for logistics, but I somehow prefer the neatness where equipment was allocated to squadrons and not just personnel.
I think that I will allocate all, bar the RSV ones, to 204 Gruppo as this sounds like the most obvious set-up - from what info is available.
