The 64th Aggressor Squadron has unveiled the new “splinter” paint scheme for the F-16 Aggressors at Nellis Air Force Base during the 57th Adversary Tactics Group change of command.
The weird thing about that scheme is that when the RAF originally trialed the light grey scheme for the F-4 they left the nose radome black. All the trials pilots said that the Grey scheme was effective but that the black radome stood out and they just aimed for that. Hence the all grey birds.
Nice of the Chinese to be that obliging really.
