Special decoration applied to an RAF BAe Hawk of The Red Arrows Aerobatic Display Team (RAF Scampton) for the 2017 Display season, to be worn by RED 1 (XX177) only.
The Scheme was designed in 1972 by Arthur Gibson and was trialed on only one Folland Gnat (See image below) that the Red Arrows flew at the time, unfortunately it was not chosen for use and was taken off the Gnat, The Red Arrows Squadron Leader David Montenegro (RED 1) was asked to choose among 3 designs for this special one off Livery, 2017 will be Davids 3rd year in charge of the worlds best Aerobatic Display team...
I was thinking more of those in the first pic in current livery which I don't seem to be able to find for Nick's model. Are they yours or someone elses? I'm catching up with RAF/RN changes. I've done Atlases, Hercs, Voyagers, Airseekers, Shadows, Sea Kings and Tonkas. Typhoons are all over the place so I thought I'd leave them 'til last and do the Hawks. I've got all your other Hawks from Owls Nest.

Mark I spent two hours searching for real life photos of your Red 1 creation since I wanted to paint the IRIS Hawk in this paint scheme...

Yes all the paints for the Reds are ones ive done on my revised! paintkit! i wont upload them as im sure others have done them on here! but if you want my version just pm me!
