Re: JASDF Bases
how can i set to the filter so that it displays from only the Kobe folder
Re: JASDF Bases
We don't want that in case the issue is not in the Kobe folder. It probably is but it might not be. This is why you have it set up the way it is and highlight the stuff from the Kobe folder.
However, as a learning exercise, it is exactly the same parm that you put in the Highlight window. Instead of putting that there you put it in the Filter window.
The thing here is that you have two people that have offered to work out your problem by viewing your output with some additional info supplied.
Your original request came on the 9th. We were unable to successfully pass on to you to how to use the tool. We then supplied a personalized working filter, and then a new generalized filter which you have had since the 19th.
We still don't have any output to view or even the path of the problem scenery. We are getting mixed signals here. Do you still want help?
If you want to learn how to use the tool that is fine but I think that the way this is progressing is slowing the process down. Once we identify the problem we can show it to you. We are not going to keep it a secret.

Re: JASDF Bases
I have a problem every time I run procmon with fs9 running it keeps crashing I still want help will you still help me Steve please I want to learn how to use the tool
Re: JASDF Bases
No problem.
The thing is that sometimes you can suggest a proggie or a setting to somebody and they can solve it themselves with just that. Sometimes they can't get to grips with a proggie and need more help. It doesn't make them stupid it just means that their talents lie in a different area. Myself, I just can't get to grips with paint packages no matter what. I have no physical artist qualities whatsoever, but you give me a computer issue and I am away.
Now it has been obvious for sometime that you can't at the moment get to grips with procmon. You have tried and that is commendable but it is not solving the issue.
Now when we get to the second stage, trying to solve the problem by proxy, we need precise info as you are the eyes and hands here.
So are you saying that procmon crashes?
If so what version are you using?
How much disk space do you have on the volume it is running from?
How much virtual memory do you have?
Does it crash if you having procmon running but do not start FS9 but just have you do your normal stuff on the computer?
What is the abend message for procmon?
You see if you you had this problem with procmon we should have known about this when it first happened. The only reason that I can see that procmon fails is that you have run out of virtual memory, as it stores it its event log there.
The problem there is that if your virtual memory is that small that procmon crashes because it runs out of memory then a lot of other things won't work properly on your PC.
The key thing here is that if you need us to fix this then we need accurate communication from yourself.

Re: JASDF Bases
Here's the thing I tried to post the log but it wouldn't let me
Re: JASDF Bases
OK so procmon does or doesn't blow out?
On the log front how big is it? How big is it zipped?
When you say it wouldn't let you post it, do you mean to the forum or to a pm or both?
To gauge this I just activated procmon and loaded FS9 to Kobe. The first output was 103KB in size which 8KB when zipped. The highlighted one had one line in it.
You were definitely saving Events from the current filter in CSV format weren't you?

Re: JASDF Bases
What is the CSV and yes I was probably
Re: JASDF Bases
CSV is a format that can read by Excel.
Andy, you aren't answering some fairly basic questions here. If you are not sure about the format then load it again create a new one with the correct format and let us know the size of the file and the size when zipped.
As I stated earlier for us to fix you have to supply the info needed and this doesn't only mean the output file but also the questions asked.

Re: JASDF Bases
052b2su1.bmp is a global texture that comes default with the game.
It should normally be in <your fs9 install>\scenery\world\texture. Manually double check to see if it's there. If it's missing I would suggest installing the game to a different location so that you have a full set of texture files, and copying the whole folder over your current one so that any missing files are restored in one shot.

Re: JASDF Bases
Andy,
You have obviously got the output and are looking at it. So why don't you send it to us so we can help rather than have us play a guessing game without seeing the full pack.
We will explain later about why those textures appear on the list even though they are not the error.

Re: JASDF Bases
I tried to save it but it caused the list to disappear
Re: JASDF Bases
It disappeared, you mean the listing in the window window or the saved output disappeared?
If you set it to save as a CSV file then the default name will be logfile.CSV in the directory that Procmon runs from. Of course you can change that to any name and anywhere you like, I would suggest the desktop.
I would search for logfile.CSV on your system to see if it has actually saved it.
I am guessing that you are doing something wrong somewhere. It is very simple.
1. Select Save
2. Select Events displayed using current filter
3. Select Comma Separated Values
4. Set the path and file name to something that you can easily find.

Re: JASDF Bases
Thanks for that file Andy but it is empty.
I think that you clicked on Highlighted events rather than 'Events displayed using current filter'. I get an empty file when choosing the Highlighted events option too, older versions did not produce a header only file.
Can you create a new one with the Events and CSV options selected please.

Re: JASDF Bases
I cant upload the csv file steve it says it's too large
Re: JASDF Bases
How big is it when zipped up?
The reason I ask is that if the entire log file without filter is zipped up it would be massive but with the filter it should be around a 1000 lines, I estimate.
