variant for AirEdit

Post by Jive1 »

Hey!
I wonder....
Do MAIW have a program with which one van modify the air-file so as to not see the AI- aircraft in the Aircrafts menu of FS9? It happens sometimes that one wants to modify a regulaf aircraft into an AI aircraft.
I used to do these things with AirEdit, but the program seems no londer to work in my FS9 situations...

Martins AIAE has this function so if you have this installed, and why wouldn't you, you already have a tool to do this.

Thank you Firebird!
However, I installed the program you mention, but I don't see how I can use it to modify an air-file to make the aircraft an AI aircraft, and to not to see it in the aircraft menu of my FS9.
PLease, can you give me a hint on how to do that?

With pleasure.

I assuming that you have installed the .net version which is the latest version. Although the older version also has the functionality but in a different place.

For the .net version.
Start it up and then select the folder of the aircraft you wish to check or change.
You will have a listview of all the schemes at the top of the main tab. Below that you will see a model section which you can select model, texture and air file. Also you will see 4 radio buttons that show you the current air file setting for the model.

All you need to do is choose the air file you want to change then click on the 'AI' radio button. You do not need to click save changes and you will see the fact that it has been changed in the log window at the bottom of the tab.

Hope that helps.

No problem, but I feel that I am taking credit for Martins work.
