Nope it has to be a lot shorter. After a TNG leg the time for the departure has to be >0 and <5. We always use 3 as the standard to ensure that it copes with compiling errors.
Anything greater than 5 mins and the AI engine forgets the plane.

Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
Ah! Thanks again my mate, I did a FP a while ago and had a long time for the AC to do the TnG's I got fed up watching it till eventually it broke off, but saying that when it did break off I turned off FSX as well so never saw it actually return to base if it did that is.

Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
Great thanks Steve! I made another Flightplan took off from Woodbridge and had the AI fly to one of MAIW waypoints, EGU1.
Any way the AC did one TnG then requested a plan change to fly back to base, it got granted, did it's turn then flew back to base.
I have ship traffic installed and going out to sea and doing these TnG's makes it more interesting flying over ships instead of bare water.
When I was using FS9 I placed a ship then did a waypoint almost above it then had a SAR heli go out to it, the effect was good as the heli did a few TnG's then flew off, it looked like a recon mission or something.

Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
The number of TNGs at the waypoint is purely down to the timing of the leg. If you want more TNGs add more time to the arrival time of course you must remember to move the timings of the subsequent leg as well.

Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
This waypoint thing reminded of years ago, I had a friend who was a member on MAIW, he was American and when he was in the USAF he was stationed at Mildenhall.
I forget how we became friends but we swapped ideas about FS, he was a tweaker like me lol. His name was Steve Wilson and he made a couple of fictional airports, one was civil the other military.
These airports were almost side by side, he did all the graphics like adding buildings etc, they were really good. I still have the afcads but for some reason lost all the other stuff, they were for FS9.
Any way to my point, he sent me the 2 airports which were in California, I wanted to populate them with aircraft so what I did was create 4 waypoints and made flightplans for aircraft to spawn from them and fly in to these airports, I was great just parked up by the runway watching all these aircraft arriving and taking off to fly to nowhere.
So I just tried it again with a flight from one of MAIW's waypoints and had an aircraft spawn and fly to Berlin EDDT, I picked it up using super traffic view board and followed it in, later it flew out to vanish as it got near the WP. I just wanted to see if it worked in FSX and it does. Sorry long story.

Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
Hi Steve, I created another WP, this one was above the oil rigs in the North Sea near Kirkwall, Scotland, I got a Sikorsky S61 to do a couple of TnG's giving the impression of a recon mission.
Re: FS9 Waypoints Question.
Sounds like you have got to grips with it now.
