Re: AI goes straight (question)
Hello again!
For tail draggers I did those 3 points:
- Increasing steer angle to 90
- Increase empty_weight_yaw_MOI up to 3x
- Set [contact_points] tailwheel_lock = 0 and gear_system_type = 0
and its a big improvement
but.... I see that its not perfect still, especially at small airports (for large airports this is enough absolutely). The turns are not as tight as they should be at small airports (AI Wilga does it perfectly). I backed to the topic and started to do this (like on this screen of AI Wilga) too:
- Reducing gear contact distance between main and tail wheels

but I didnt have the luck (setting up closer 3x [contact points] by Model Converter X with the preview). The model starts to dance and shoots into the space finally.
Maybe some advices what can I check too?

Re: AI goes straight (question)
3 things I would experiment with:
- The position of the centre of gravity - it may be too far forward.
- The compression in the main gear.
- The MOI.
I don't know if it will help, but here's a set of MOI from one of my tail draggers with a CG at +1ft.
empty_weight_pitch_MOI =7571.75
empty_weight_roll_MOI =5124.60
empty_weight_yaw_MOI =10080.82
empty_weight_coupled_MOI =0.00000
station_load.0= 170, -1.500, -2.000, 0.000
