Tango's workbench
Re: Tango's workbench
Trying to get back in the game after a while I thought I'd give the USN Ospreys a go using John's USMC model.
Does anyone have/know of a photo of the CMV-22Bs from above and/or below showing where the roundels are on the wings? I've not had much luck finding a clear one so for now have put the roundels in the same place as on the USMC paintkit.

Re: Tango's workbench
The latest pic that I could find was of 169449, delivered this year, with VRM-50 taken on the may 19 this year and although there is no above shot there is still no markings on the underside.
My guess would be in line with Greg's that they don't advertise too much exactly who they are. Just the side markings.

Re: Tango's workbench
Thanks gents, thats very helpful (and saves me some work!). Looking at youtube I have seen a few videos of ospreys with roundels but they appear to have been during testing rather than active service. There is one of the first CMV-22B arriving at north island and there is definitely nothing on the top of that one.
Re: Tango's workbench
Well, that was supposed to be quick and easy and I found myself sorting out the rest of the traffic for North Island as well (my sim had precisely nothing going on). Ah well . Main texures are done, as are very basic flightplans. Just have to sort out lower-res/bmp textures and the readme and I should be ready to upload these.
The pack will have 17 aircraft in total- 10 for VRM-30, 5 for VRM-50 and a bonus two for HX-21 at Pax River.

Re: Tango's workbench
Thanks guys. The pack has been uploaded and will be ready once Greg or Martin gets to it.
Of course, as soon as I pressed upload I realised I had forgotten to add pictures to the website entry, will have to add those afterwards .
As ever, if I have missed something/messed something up when packing everything together please let me know.

Time for something a little different...
Re: Tango's workbench
I have published a small update to my RAAF Falcon 7X package (I managed to mess up one of the registrations).
The updated version is live in the file library:

Hawker Hunter Aviation's Buccaneer S.2B-I know its currently stored in a shed somewhere, but still.
Any interest in me releasing it?

Re: Tango's workbench
Great, I'll pack it up at some stage then.
On a definitely absolutely not-related note ,any idea what these buildings on the south west side of RAF Leeming are (and any library objects that would make a good analogue)? I'm guessing some kind of temporary hangar.

Re: Tango's workbench
They're Rubb hangars (it's a trade name). I think there are some in one of JY's scenery contributions to the MAIW Global Custom Library.
Re: Tango's workbench
Indeed they are. Perfect, thanks Tim.

I am only going by what they say on their website, Gary. So I am not sure - No. It could well be that they don't bother to keep the website up to date for spotters.
