I've been gradually putting together a fairly accurate rendition of Hahn, around 1988, for FS9. Bit of guesswork and improvisation in a few places though e.g I can't find the exact ATC complex and I've borrowed the Bitburg Zulu alert facility.
Google Earth gives a good feel for the northern and southern shelter sites, but there's another group of them which have been pretty much obliterated by the development of the airport. I've scoured the internet for a decent aerial image/map showing the field but to no avail.
Does anyone have an image of Hahn in the 80's or early 90's, and also does anyone know which sqns were in which site please? Having got this far I'd like to finish the job off properly!
Thanks in advance!
JG

I tried to do Hahn for P3Dv5, as you say images are hard to find. I only have these from the mid and western areas, taken in 1977. If you can handle Airport Design Editor .ad4 files I am willing to share mine.

The Tower building looks outstanding!
Yeah, familiar with those pictures. I've used ADE and existing scenery objects, as I don't have the time or knowledge to create buildings. It's pretty good with full 50th TFW and visiting AI, I just want to complete that last bit. I could then upload it here as a way of saying thanks for all the stuff I've downloaded.

You can install Google Eart Pro (the software, not the internet service).
With this software you can choose aerial views from several dates (as they are available of course).

I actually went there back in the day. One of 56's squadron exchanges was with the 10th TFS there.

TF, thanks. I have that but the furthest back you can go with clarity is 2000, and the area I need is still blurred. The 1985 imagery is blurred completely.TheFoufure wrote: ↑05 Jul 2022, 18:53 You can install Google Eart Pro (the software, not the internet service).
