So would love to help... But your question doesn't make sense... and or is way too vague...
1. What .cfg file
2. What are you trying to add / accomplish? You say a folder? As in an aircraft folder? Sim Objects folder? Scenery folder??? ect...

I made my folder for my AI aircraft, and I was wondering Where I would look in P3D to set up my aircraft to be visible. I made an entry in my Sim Objects.cfg like this:
[Entry.10]
Title=AI Aircraft
Path=SimObjects\AI Aircraft
Required=True
Active=True
Is this what I needed to do to get my AI Aircraft to show up? I have been told that I can place the folder with my AI aircraft in my D drive.
[Entry.10]
Title=AI Aircraft
Path=D:\SimObjects\AI Aircraft
Required=True
Active=True
Would this be correct?

Re: Where do I place the "label" in the CFG file
That looks correct to me!
But, to simplify the file structure, you don't have to put SimObjects in there, that line could just be:
Path=D:\AI Aircraft
or anything that you would like.

Now, second question. I downloaded AIFP from the Owls Nest and the first time I used it worked fine, and I was able to compile my American Airlines flight plan. The next time I tried to compile my Delta flight plan, and it went all haywire on me. I cannot click on anything at the top and I cannot even close it. I've enclosed a photo so you can see the problem in the circle.

It looks like you have simply dragged the AIFP window too high into your desktop. Pull it down off of the very top.

I deleted it and redownloaded it and it still gives me this look. Plus, I cannot click on any of the tab buttons at the top of the app.Dave YVR ATC wrote: 05 Jul 2025, 05:02 It looks like you have simply dragged the AIFP window too high into your desktop. Pull it down off of the very top.

First, please don't ask the same question in multiple threads. It's not going to solve your issue more quickly.
Second, I don't see the issue. That "snap layout" window is what you get when you hover over the maximize button in any Windows window.
Just hover away from the maximze button.

I am not able to click on any of the tabs at the top of the AIFP app, nor am I able to close it by clicking the "X" button.Greg wrote: 05 Jul 2025, 11:16 First, please don't ask the same question in multiple threads. It's not going to solve your issue more quickly.

Robert,
You have enabled "Snap" in windows like Greg mentioned. MS Snap info: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 31795e6241
It would be helpful to rotate your picture 180 degrees so we cab truly see what you are seeing.

So, I got rid of the snap box, now I just need to figure out why I still cannot get AIFP to expand and open a flight plan to compile. It still will not let me do anything with the top buttons.

Robert,
Do you run AIFP as admin? (right-click on AIFP icon, select (left-click) "Run as administrator")
Same issue if you select P3DV5?

Nope. That did not help any. Still cannot open the app to load a flight plan. I was able to do it the first time I used it but, since then I've had this problem.

Re: Where do I place the "label" in the CFG file
I have been working with this program for many years now. I will not let me click on the Files tab or any other tab at the top of the app. It will not let me enlarge the app or minimize it. I cannot even close the app once I open it. These are the problems I am having since last night when I worked for one flight plan and then, nothing. I have read the manual because I have it printed out and it is in a binder. I just cannot figure out what went wrong.TheFoufure wrote: 05 Jul 2025, 22:40 Perhaps some help here : https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threa ... art.87318/

Re: Where do I place the "label" in the CFG file
I don't know if this will help, but some time ago I had an issue with AIFP somewhat similar to yours.
It actually turned out that I had entries in my scenery configuration library with incorrect paths to them. Once that had been taken care of, AIFP worked like a charm again.
To figure this one out, I used Lorby-SI's Addon Organizer.
Jorgen
Edit: expanding on the simliarities in the situation: I couldn't click on anything in AIFP either, and could only terminate AIFP through Task Manager.

Re: Where do I place the "label" in the CFG file
Sometimes, the only answer is to clear everything out and install again from scratch.
You may never know why it wasn't working in the first place but sometimes it just works. The good news with AIFP is that it is a portable app so you don't need to uninstall your current setup just put a new installation on a completely separate drive and try it there.

Yup. Whatever caused it to not work on the C drive was, whatever it was. Put on my D drive and it works just fine.
Thank you everyone for your advice.
