Well I have just downloaded the zip file, installed it, created a new AIFP.ini file and it works just fine.

It sounds to me like a config error in the AIFP.ini file. I would rename it and then set it up again.

Yes, that is where your set up is stored. By renaming it it will create a new one but you will have a copy so that you can refer to it/copy across and parms.

There is no reason in AIFP that it should not work installed on any drive.

I can install it anywhere on my system and it works exactly the same.

Something else is going on.

Is it possible that you can email me what your AIFP.ini file says?

OK well I do not have P3D so I can't help you with that part of the setup, but it is obvious that the program loads so it has to be something to do with your P3D setup.

The other thing is that I do not need to run it as Administrator. You might need to if it is in a protected folder on a drive but you should never place a portable app in one of those folders anyway.

I have attached the aifp.ini of the one I installed this morning BUT if it is a P3D setup error then it will not help you at all.
I would have a look at the folder to see if the P3D path is set to the correct location. My guess is that is the problem.

This is something I noticed between yours and mine. Now I don't know if this would happen after I made my first compiled flight plan or not.

Yep rename it something like: AIFP.ini.Robert

Start AIFP again and a new .ini file will be created.

Robert, do you have AIFP in multiple locations on your computer?

Your AIFP.ini doesn't indicate your P3DV5 and P3DV6 .exe locations. But your screenshot shows AIFP only working with P3DV5 & 6, as those are your options.

This is all that comes up now when I do a search for AIFP3 on my computer.

This is my AIFP3.ini file and what it shows. I have apparently loaded this on all hard drives now because it won't load anywhere.

Well there is one issue that i can see straight away. Whether it is what is causing your issue or not I don't know.

You have the path to P3Dv5 and P3Dv6 set to the same. That should not be the case. Do you actually have both installed? If so point the P3Dv5 installation to the correct location.

Check these lines in AIFP.ini :

No Automatic Updates=True
Development Updates=False

(the author's web site no longer exists because he passed)

I do not have P3Dv5 installed on my computer. Just P3Dv6.

And after looking in my drive, this is what I found about P3Dv5.
