MDAI MiG 15

Post by shaggy22 »

So this is Mason Curling's second attempt at a full ai model, the MiG 15. This particular package will include several versions, single seater bis & ISh models along with the 2 seater UTI version as well. All of which can also be used for the license built MiG 15's as well, the PZL LIM-2 etc.

Mason himself has done the main model(s) & fde work, so the vast majority basically  , whilst I have done the texturing & paint kit, which will be included in this package as well. Paints in this pack will be for the North Korean Air Force (10 examples) who still operate the MiG 15 along with flightplans for them as well. There will also be some civilian examples included for the late 90s period as well, no flightplans for those though.

We're not too far away from releasing this now so hopefully it shouldn't be too long before they are uploaded onto the hangar, here are some preview pictures:

Also before anyone asks, I can neither confirm or deny that the MiG 17 will be next in this particular run either

Here's a Fagot taxiing at ZZ07.

My knowledge of making flight plans equals absolute zero - but is anyone going to have a go with plans for the civilian Fagots?

Sorry, I get things mixed up. This is a MiG-15UTI - so a Midget!

Bear with, I'll sort out the elevation fix at ZZ07. It was on my to do list but I forgot about it. Sorry about that.

This should be a fix for it. Just make sure there isn't another scenery in background running, I had one & it took ages to sort.

I should also say that this is a modified afcad from someone else, I just added a bunch of stuff to it. I can't remember who it was from memory but it did say in the readme, please feel free to adapt it. Or something along those lines anyway.

Here's the Midget at ZZ07 again.

It starts out from its parking position, turns 90 deg. right and then down the apron. At almost the edge of the apron it then turns 90 deg. left, taxies on a moment and then turns 90 deg. right again, before stopping at the position shown in the screenshot.

Now we're cooking with gas!

The Midget taxies right along the paths in the airport diagram, and the taxiways show up beautifully.

I caught the Midget broadside on...

Just wondering Jorgen, is there a particular reason that you take screenshots from your aircraft position rather than selecting the AI aircraft?

I mean, it works perfectly well for pointing out issues as here, but it does mean that the subject is rather distant.

Well, there's no particular reason for me to choose that camera position, apart from my lack of knowledge on how to do it another way.

And then maybe the convenience of moving the camera position around easily.
