Gmax views and hot keys

I think I had a similar issue a couple of years ago and it disappeared on its own..

..when I try to change the view in any of the four display quadrants, nothing happens when I right click the mouse. However, I can still change the views such as left, right, top, bottom by using hot keys.

So far, so good, but I don't know hot keys for changing the way the model itself displays, such as wire frame, solid view and so on. Does anyone know hot keys for these, or how to get right clicking on the mouse to respond again.

I can't speak for hot keys Jon, because I didn't really use them. I've just checked both my FS9 and FSX Gmax installations and I too can no longer switch views with a right click. Neither can I hide parts in the same way. I'm just putting it down to the same mischief Microsoft caused to Gmax export, when I updated to Windows 11.

It turned out to be a simply resolved known issue, although the root cause remains elusive. Some think it's sometimes related to Windows updates, but whatever the reason, a reboot is needed. The key point, apparently uniquely in the case of Windows 10, is that this has to be done as a restart, not just switching off and on again. It worked for me, anyway.

John, I'd love to think it would solve your issues, too, but sadly I fear not.
