However, to find the page you just search using a couple of suitable words.

In this case I think that https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/topic/16733.html is what you are looking for.
Takes me back to the first page of this post.

Robert,

I can't find the blog anywhere in MAIW either, just a dead link. If you paste this url http://www.militaryaiworks.com/briefing ... to-fsx-p3d into the WayBack Machine Internet Archive and select 18 Aug 2017 date, 23:18 time snapshot and you will see Greg's developer blog on how to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D.

OK, I have just visited the site again and the blog is there. Follow this:

1. Search for WayBack Machine and select the one "search.archive.org"
2. Copy the above URL link and paste it into the search area where it says "Enter a URL or words related to a site's home page", and press enter
3. It should say "Saved 3 times between June 6, 2017 and August 18, 2017" with some grey bars for the years. Click on the 2017 black line
4. In the calendar below you will then see three dates highlighted in blue
5. Click on highlighted 18 August and click on the time 23:18:00
6. Wait for the archived pages to load the blog
7. You can then right click on the page and "save as" however you choose but I use webpage complete.

Hopefully this will get you there!

I wanted to see if I could make the Osan AB workable for P3D. I can see the AFCAD for FSX is visible but, the buildings from P3D show up and I was wondering how I can make them "disappear".

If it is the same as every other sim then the simple way is to create an exclusion zone over the area that you want to clear.

Which version of P3d are you using?

There is a well known issue with V5+ in that it does not respect the ADE cxv files as it should and often default buildings will show right through the exclusion zone... It has been brought up numerous times in the LM forums and LM refuses to even respond or do anything about it... Sadly the only responses we got were from his royal annoyingness... We all know him, we all love him (sarcasm), and he knows absolutely nothing of value... Martyson...

To fix this what you need to do is:

In ADE using the Tools > load stock data feature, load the stock buildings; taxi signs or anything else you may be concerned will conflict with your new afcad; and after they are loaded one by one delete them in your new afacd this way the new afcad itself tags these objects as removed... save and compile...

Once you have accomplished this you should be ok to compile your new airport and have it work properly in V5+...

Therefore jetpilot1980's instructions apply Robert. V5+ includes V6.

Well, I am having some fun with RKSO Osan AB. Please bear with me on this one...

Geoff kindly sent me the RKSO files from the Matrix. When I first opened the AFCAD with ADE (the latest v. 4.79 Dev Pro), there were tons of open links all over the place, in parking spaces and on the taxiways. And the exasperating thing was, that when I fixed the open links in the taxiways, the very same open links came back. This issue with recurring open links was only fixed when I removed all the nodes from the center of the parking spaces - and once I did that, then suddenly all the open links in the taxiways disappeared, except for one genuine one.

When that one was fixed (easy peasy), all that remained in Fault Finder was duplicate parking, again easily fixed.

It took several tries (and errors) to get through this, and with the kind and most valuable help from Geoff, Mason (removing stock P3D buildings) and Tom Gibson from FSDeveloper, the final try went like this:

Open the AFCAD, save to ad4 file. Open the ad4, remove some nodes from parking spaces, save to ad4. Repeat this until all nodes removed, and only one genuine open link remaining. Fix that, save to ad4. Open ad4, fix parking numbering, save to ad4. Open ad4, load stock data/scenery objects., save to ad4. Open ad4, delete some stock objects, save to ad4. Repeat until stock objects removed, save to ad4. Open ad4, create CVX, compile.

Then I put the resulting AFCAD, CVX and the original object file in the proper place and folder, and started P3D. Selected the aircraft I wanted to fly, selected RKSO as the airfield. RKSO came up with my aircraft sitting on the threshold. I selected the view I wanted (tail view), released the brakes and lowered the flaps for takeoff. P3D then crashed to the desktop, exception code in Event Viewer c0000005 in g3d.dll, with an additional message in Event Viewer of exception code of c0000005 in .NET Framework.

It is a minor wonder to me that I still have some hair left!

Now, gentlemen - does anyone have an idea on where to go from here?

Jorgen

PS: Running Windows 10 Pro, everything as up to date and updated as possible. The aircraft in question above works flawlessly everywhere else...

PSPS: I know what an exception code c0000005 is - "something" attempting to write to an area of RAM where it has no access rights. In this case, "something" is RKSO in P3D...

PSPSPS: In the 30 seconds or so that I could see RKSO, it looked damn good, and all those pesky default P3D buildings were gone.

I cannot really help with your CTD issue as I do not have P3D but did you run the RKSO Obj file through MCX to save as a type compatible with your version of P3D? It was originally designed for early version of P3D so may be worth a try.

As mentioned in PM, removing all the nodes from the parking spots means you no longer have anti-push back parking so your aircraft will push back through the rear of the HAS before moving forward.

The solution to the problem of the 332 open link faults was to look at the associated numbers for them. 331 of them were numbered PARKING 428>41 which makes you think perhaps this node and parking spot are the problem. If you go to parking spot 41 it has node 428. Delete node 428, connect an apron link back between taxipath node 185 and parking spot 41 and add an anti-push back node; it uses the next node number in sequence, in this case 489. Now on checking you only have 1 open link fault listed PATH 352>321, although again as mentioned in PM there is another open link not listed where node 320 is not attached to the taxipath between nodes 83 and 84, and you would still have anti-push back in place for all your parking spots.

I looked that that object file briefly for Jorgen... It is a placement file only not an object library file... Since he is re-working the AFCAD his best bet would be to use the ADE File > Import .bgl function load the addon objects directly into the new AFCAD and re-export as two files (one AFCAD, and one CXV)... But for what it's worth I have my matrix files and this obj file has not caused any issues for me in V5.4...

I am trying to connect my ADE with my P3Dv6, and I thought I had the right FSUIPC but apparently not. I have version v6.2.2 but it keeps telling me no.

FSUIPC v. 6.2.2 is the correct version for P3D v. 6.
