It's all done, but see my post of the 4th April above.

Re: JYAI Airbus AS365 Dauphin
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I saw the post from April 4th regarding the UK Emergency Services package. But since you also said you no longer knew how to compile, I was afraid that these would never be released. So I hope to see these helicopters in the hangar soon. Good luck, and thanks for all the creations.

John Young wrote: 28 Feb 2025, 09:50 The 8 AS365’s in the anti-submarine role are based at Lanvéoc/Poulmic, Brittany in NW France. The default scenery is just a runway and again the GE imagery is blurred out. I don’t really want to get bogged down with scenery, so I think I will leave it to users to make use of the French examples as they wish.

There is a good scenery of LFRL for MSFS 2020/2024 at the bottom of this page : https://restauravia.fr/MS%20FLIGHT%20SIMULATOR%202024

For LFTH, you can find here for MSFS 2020/2024 (bottom of page) : https://restauravia.fr/ms-flight-simulator

The Dauphin's work in MSFS202, but not in MSFS 2024.

Re: JYAI Airbus AS365 Dauphin
So, you have converted them for MS2020 AI, including the animated lift? Where did you get the model from - I haven't released it yet?

Dave,
I think that you need to make it clear which model works in 2020.

I hope you can release it despite the problems with the new Windows. It's a model that I'm waiting for with great patience.
Thanks

Re: JYAI Airbus AS365 Dauphin
I haven't heard from John B in 6 months, so I am not aware of the status of his scenery projects that he intends to provide for the Air Ambulances and SAS models. Since people have asked for the helicopters in the meantime, I decided to upload the Dauphins now. When he is ready, John only then needs to provide a link to the downloads in his manual for users to add the AI. I uploaded the helicopters this morning, along with a paint kit. Please allow Martin time to make the packages available.
This, I think, will be the last offering from me. Following Microsoft's crippling of the GMax FSX Gamepack with Windows 11, this now prevents me exporting anything further. The last straw has been Imgur pulling the plug on UK image hosting. As with other UK contributors using this service, it has resulted in the loss of all my screen shots in the various threads posted here. I can't move forward and I can't view my work here going backwards. It's become harder and harder to justify the time spent on developing so easing off is probably not a bad thing for me.
I am though intending to continue driving by regularly to keep in touch and to help out where I can.

Re: JYAI Airbus AS365 Dauphin
Dear John.
Your latest gift to the Flight Sim community is now online. We have known each other since you first became interested in AI with your Duxford scenery, and we have been in contact ever since. I will always remember the many discussions we had about possible future projects, such as the B47 and B36. This relationship is an example of trust and support, and represents the kind of online community I want to be part of.
Your models set a new quality standard for AI aircraft, filling the skies with planes that nobody ever thought they would see in their sims.
Thank you for everything you have done over the years. As long as I can see your AI flying, I know I will return to my sim, even if I haven't started up my computer for months due to work commitments in the real world.
MAIW is extremely happy that you will be staying around as a friend and supporter, and that you will be sharing your bucketful of experience and wisdom when asked.

Re: JYAI Airbus AS365 Dauphin
John,
I must echo Martin's words appreciating your huge contribution to our hobby. Quite apart from the vast body of work you produced to an ever higher standard, your readiness to share the knowledge gained has been invaluable.
You have always responded kindly, helpfully and patiently to my questions, and I know I have learned a lot from you, so a heartfelt thankyou for all of that. My own contributions have been minimal, but they only happened at all because you helped me and also because I felt inspired to try to learn Gmax a littke more, and to enjoy the whole process.
I still struggle, not least with LOD's, which also seem increasingly irrelevant, but the point is that I can now do things I couldn't do before. I have built several aircraft for my own use, and, if I can get something else to a sufficient standard, it may follow my T-17 and AW119 into the upload section.
I'm glad you'll be keeping an eye on MAIW.
All the very best,
Jon Gowing
