European USAF airbases

Post by sprocky »

Hi,

although I live in Europe my knowledge about USAF bases here in Germany ( and Europe ) is very limited. I know Ramstein, Spangdahlem and Stuttgart. Can someone tell me were other USAF aircrafts are based in Europe and which aircrafts they fly and what their main duty is ? Just a short notice would be fine such as:

Stuttgart - C-130 - Transportation
Ramstein - F-16 - Surveillance

Dont even know if above is right :wink:

I would like to fill the places with AI around the main routes I fly in my sim.

Thanks.

Hi Jan,

Here's a link to USAFE, which I hope will be of some use;

If you can get a copy of the Air Force Magazine-Almanac, it lists all the bases and equipment-both in Conus and Overseas. Some librarys may have a copy.
