Tonka,
All packages work (but are not designed for, and are untested) in FSX without modification, but you will need to do a manual install. The only issues are that the voicepacks can't be imported yet (but Lars is working on a new edition I believe) and because of the new FSX date format the dates of flights in the flightplans are incorrect, but these can be converted by another utility. The traffic files, effects and scenery go in exactly the same places in FSX as in FS9 but the aircraft need to be placed in the same folder as the user aircraft. There is a way to change the placement of the AI aircraft and I can elucidate on this if necessary.
There are some issues with some of the AI models, you probably will find that canopies are either missing or opaque and at certain distances some display no textures, just are pure black.
The AFCADs work straight out of the box, but don't show the FSX specifics such as fuel trucks and other ground vehicles, the same applies to complete sceneries such as RAF Coningsby. The AFCADs can be converted using other utlities such as FAX (payware) or ADE (freeware but still in alpha/beta but due for release soon).
That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure somone will correct any errors I've made. In summary, there are very few issues using MAIW packages in FSX none of which can't be fixed with a little tinkering.
I hope that helps.
