Indian AF to fly in Red Flag

Post by GZR_Sactargets »

India Will Fly Red Flag: The government of India has decided to send elements of its air force to Nevada in August 2008 to participate in Red Flag. The US extended an invitation to the Indian Air Force in 2006.

From AF Daily Report 29 Nov 07

IIRC they did Very well against USAF F-15s a few years back!!

I haven't seen any details of the aircraft involved. It would obviously include their logistical support as well as some of their combat airplanes.
When the UK visited regularly, they often stopped at Offutt enroute and the Vulcans flew missions out of Offutt. I think the Vulcans were largely on the SAC bombing ranges. However, I do recall seeing the Buccaneer from time to time.

I'm guessing 2 or maybe 3 IL76's along with a few Su27/30's.
That would be a sight to see in US airspace.
