I was wondering if anyone could point me to where I need to go for adding military heavies (C-5, VC-25, and others). I noticed on the MAIW home page it shows in the pics Air Force One and other aircraft I have not seen in the downloaded packages. Also how do I add other military AI to my Sim world (FS9) with out using the WOAI installer?
Roger on the PAI Air Force One, Is TTools hard to use? I dont want to get into a program that takes hours to figure out. I have my AI about where I want it and this site and WOAI makes it easy to upload into the sim. I don't want to have to take files and put them in a bunch of spots and mess around with things like cfg files and stuff. I like to keep it short and simple (KISS).
Ttools is not hard to use, very simple in fact, but it should be stated that it does two things only. It compiles three text files into a working bgl for FS9 and it will decompile a compiled bgl into the three text files.
You can easily set a default source folder so that it will save you time, you have to see the size of my directory. So if you happen to have the three component text files then you create your own bgl.
If you want to create your own flightplans that is a different thing, but there are various utilities that will help you, what you will find is that they will all supply or need ttools to create the finished product.
Hopefully that helps you. What I would suggest is that you install ttools, create a directory, set it as your default and then decompile any traffic bgl that you already have, to start with make it a small bgl. This will show you what is needed by each text file and how they link together. The most difficult thing to grasp is the flightplans.txt file coding, but there are various sites and tutorials around that can explain what each part means.
If you have any questions then there are loads of people that can help you with specifics.
