Woww, looks great being even a prototype now...

PS.
Sorry that I'm not so frequent hanger here lately,
I delicately try to find out which one is better: FS2004 with steady 40 FPS or FSX with 12 FPS (with clouds) with no Active Camera nor FSNav :-/
Lots of problem with not-FSX-Accelerated planes, all white, FPS drop and such ... do we have to wait AGAIN until FS11 is here?

Sounds like you are running FSX in DX10 mode - the DX10 shipped with SP2 is only a preview version which is not backwards compatible, so old type textures don't show. Either run in DX9 mode or you have to wait for the full DX10 release.
Which way is up?

Yep Graham, I prefer DX10 "preview" :D
DX9 version is not as nice, FPS is lower and no VC shadows!
All in all FSX still resembles more like a prototype to me ...

But, well, no stutter in the end when flying through the landscapes...
