AI for non ifr airports

Does anyone know if it is possible to have AI aircraft at an airport that has no tower?
I have been thinking that my AI aircraft are not flying since the plans indicate IFR instead of VFR. Could this be a possibility?

As for the SAAF AI traffic, its coming on great.

My local airport has no tower and I have AI flying in and out all the time.
All you need is an AFCAD and you can find Unicom, or whatever it's called now, frequencies on the internet.

Yes, you can. If there's no Tower then they just contact their intentions via [Insert Airport ICAO] Traffic instead.
