Alphasim Freeware scenery

Post by Firebird »

Gents,
Alphasim have just made another batch of models into freeware, including the following FS9 scenery :-
RNAS Yeovilton
RAF St Mawgan
RAF Chivenor
RAF Lyneham
RAF Fairford
Nellis AFB
Groom Lake (Area 51)
Tonopah Test Range (Area 52)
plus two ex airfields RAF Upper Heyford and RAF Binbrook.

You can get them from http://www.alphasim.co.uk and enjoy a pic of some of Nick's handywork on the front cover.
Steve

Thanks for the tip Steve. I was just there before they unloaded all that scenery.

Gonna load em up with MAIW birds now.

Thanks for that, Steve. Yesterday I was looking for some decent scenery for Binbrook and Marham and then I see this post. Great stuff!

Not knowing really anything about UK airfields, I went to look at some of the above in Google Earth. Former RAF Upper Heyford is one big car lot (runways, taxiways, ramps), all just loaded with vehicles. :)

Yes, most of Alphasims sceneries have been Retro. Not alot of RAF Bases actually survive anymore.

If it makes you feel any better, Nick, the USAF bases aren't surviving these days either.
